Beaute’ Kettly by the House of JB

After quietly observing this beautiful artist bloom into who she has become today, we are proud to say  that we were the first publication to have had the privilege of shedding light on her wonderful art. JB Edmond, a makeup artist by trade, had decided to dabble into fashion design and her creativity cannot go unnoticed.  Having her published in two of our latest issues , we could not be any more proud to have witnessed her very first fashion show. Her collection, Beaute’ Kettly by the House of JB, debuted at this year’s Ankara Fashion Week, “a runway show committed to featuring emerging and established designers from the African Diaspora has now extended toFlorida’s Premier African Fashion Week.” – ankaramiamiweek.com

Let us bring your attention to the fact that her dresses are 90% made out of sheets taken from newspapers. Adding fabric to paper gave it definition, form and body. By the end of the night she was swarmed by spectators who already wanted to purchase her pieces. Congratulations JB and may you continue to thrive in this industry. Much success!!

What we have is a glimpse of what we witnessed on the Emerging Designers showcase on Feb 17th:
