Are you seeing this, or am I dreaming? Do you realize that we have a celebrity on our cover. It is quite an honor really, Albrecht Behmel came to us by means of Lynn Hutchins, and I couldn’t be more excited. Albrecht combined two of my favorite things, Comics and Abstract, I mean what more can I ask for. I didn’t hesitate to put him on the cover because he certainly deserves it. He is the kind of man that takes the leap of faith and free fall into his dreams of becoming an artist. Many of us may have that dream but how many really will jump.
On another note, Miami Gardens is the home of Jazz In The Gardens. Many celebrities graced the stage, taking us back to the 90s where Hip Hop was at its peak. We give you front stage access to the best performances of the year featuring LL Cool J, Jill Scott, Robin Thicke and many more.
We’ve also took it upon ourselves to feature a spread from photographer Thomas Bernavil, though he claimed to have wanting to play around with his lens, his delivery is flawless, the pictures tell a story, the story of a woman betrayed by her man for another woman. We thought this was a pretty interesting story as it is the one of many women today.
We are ecstatic about giving you our 19th issue, we are getting closer to our 20th issue and we can’t contain ourselves. It’s been two years and we have made so much progress, amassed so many readers and featured so many artists and we couldn’t be more proud.
