Ankara SWIM – Miami Swim Week’s first & only African production, represented again in Miami with gorgeous designs from designers around the world.

Saturday, July 14, the 5 featured brands – who represented Nigeria, Kenya, Jamaica, and USA – showcased their latest collections of swimwear, resort-wear, summer apparel and accessories. Host Marcellus “Chello” Davis of BET ComicView & local favorite Lyric Live entertained the audience while the latest in Afrobeat, Afrohouse, Brazilian Funk, and other Afro-Caribbean hits filled the room courtesy of guest DJ Tony Vyda.

Day 2’s pop-up shop on Sunday, July 15 showcased local & international in-store vendors including all of Saturday’s feature showcase designers, with an array of bold and colorful summer styles. Sponsors for the weekend included MD Simmons Productions, OnLaVe Signature Productions, The Fashionistas, Dramatic Apparel Visual Merchandising, Miss Jessie’s, and media sponsors Deep Blu Media, Corey Cinematic, & Carlos Sainte Photography.
